Are You Set for the Upcoming Transformation to Welsh Housing Laws?

One of the major changes to Welsh housing legislation will occur when the Renting Homes (Wales) Act takes effect on December 1, 2022. It will fundamentally alter how residences are rented out, managed, and inhabited by rental agents, landlords, and renters.

At its most recent free webinar, which begins at 12 p.m. on November 23, Propertymark is providing letting agents (both members and non-members) a window of opportunity to hear directly from Simon White, the Welsh government's head of housing policy. White, who is in charge of carrying out the adjustments, will go through them in depth during the webinar and answer any questions.

The Renting Homes Act has taken a while to pass and marks a significant shift in how the leased sector functions in Wales, according to Propertymark's Timothy Douglas, head of strategy and campaigns.

He states “the change will be difficult, but we're excited to provide agents with a chance to speak to the Welsh Government directly. By doing so, agents will be better able to ask any questions they may have and grasp the changes and their new duties.”
